| CUGB Geology Base ,one of the four national geology science bases, is approved to establish by the ministry of education in 1994. The base class training program has changed to six year bachelor-master coordination training plan. Students who graduate from the base class can receive a master degree of science. The base class aims to cultivate high-level research and teaching graduates in geology who develop correct political orientation, strong dedication and sense of responsibility, good foundation of theoretical knowledge and expertise, higher level in foreign language and computer application and a keen sense of innovation.
After gruaduation, students from the base class may has the following jobs: researches in universities or instituts, teachers in college, management workers in natioanl government or departments and research or technical workers in enery, transportation, mining, metallurgy or building materials industries.
